The way we plan and accomplish the task in a given time is often called time management. When you manage your time effectively, you get smarter and get the desired results by putting in less effort. managing time helps you achieve bigger results and accomplish many tasks at the same time. if done effectively, time management can allow you to prioritize the task and act accordingly. We all have 24 hours, but one who manages his time well achieves great achievements in life. Poor time management skills can cause poor sleep, unhappiness, and even health complications like stress. Just the thought of having very little time to complete work is enough to make most people feel stressed.

Time is money

Time is money, you can hear this line from many people and it is absolutely true. Saving money will give you only one remaining money, but saving time will give you additional time to earn extra money. We can get back the money spent but not the time spent. Below we are discussing a few proven points and tips that help you to master time management.

1. Priority

Evaluate each project you need to work on to determine which tasks are the most urgent and important and make them your top priority for the day. Save less important tasks or projects that haven’t yet become urgent for later, when you have more time available to focus on those less crucial projects.

for example, a student should prioritize studies during the exam period. entertainment things like social media, television should be avoided or given minimal time. In the exam period, your priority should be studies rather than anything, you can give priority to sports, games, social media, and others after the exam is over. Know what the priority is and at what time.

2. Distraction

Distraction is the biggest threat and productivity killer. It distracts focus and interrupts the process, ultimately delaying results. There are many tools and devices that distract us, such as social media, email, smartphones, etc. If you use any toll proportionally just for information or fun, that’s fine, but overdo it and get addicted to ruin our precious time and force us to postpone and delay homework.

Be precise in what you do. never indulge in gossip or office politics. Try to get busy with productive work, or if you are not working, improve your knowledge by reading books or adopt new skills, such as learning any foreign language. it helps you in many ways. Simply by noticing how they’re sucking up your time you’ll begin to do them less.

3. Goal

Goal setting helps place our daily activities in the larger context of long-term goals. For example, goal setting helps organize priorities and map out the smaller key activities that are essential to success in a larger goal or initiative.

The goal must be something that can be reasonably achieved. Goals that are beyond what can realistically be achieved will expose the setter to failure and end up wasting a lot of time in the long run. The objectives must be relevant to the big picture. Setting random, irrelevant goals will only lead to a waste of time and effort. therefore, the key is that the goal should focus on exactly what needs to be done.

4. Learn to Say NO

You will never learn to manage time at work if you don’t learn to say no. If you need to decline a request to focus on more important tasks, feel free to do so. And if you accept a project that is obviously going nowhere, don’t be afraid to let it go. Instead of doing many tasks that generate little or no value, complete fewer tasks that generate more value. Remember the 80/20 rule: 80% of your production comes from 20% of your inputs. so, Focus your efforts accordingly.

If you can’t say no, delegate. While delegating can be a difficult skill to learn, it can do wonders in managing your personal time. You’ve built a talented team, so determine what tasks you can pass on.

5. Make daily Schedule

This step is absolutely crucial in learning how to manage time at work. Don’t even try to start your day without an organized to-do list. Before leaving work for the day, create a list of your most urgent tasks for the next day. Putting everything down on paper will prevent you from staying up at night mulling over tasks that run through your brain. Instead, your subconscious goes to work on your plans while you sleep, which means you can wake up in the morning with new insights for the workday. If you can’t do it the day before, be sure to write your list first thing in the morning.

6. Practice

Once you get organized and manage to establish priorities, goals and avoid distractions, then the practice comes that allows you to put yourself in a better position. You cannot master time management if you do not devotionally practice the above rules. remember, only practice makes you perfect. we often don’t meet our expectations because we stop practicing or do it for a few days and when we didn’t get results quickly, we stopped. The first thing to understand is that practice is a process, not a goal. To continually excel in any field, we need to keep practicing, keep improving.

Remember, a little effort every day ends with huge results. So all the techniques mentioned above to master in time management are worthless if you do not practice them.

When you are in control of your time, you feel more in control of your life – being in control of your life gives you power and freedom, and time management helps you maintain this control.
